
On June 12, 2025, Scelta Mushrooms (“Scelta” or the “Company) acquired Comé. The acquisition was supported by financing provided by ING.
Scelta is a Netherlands-based, family-owned supplier of processed mushrooms and mushroom-based ingredient solutions to the global food industry, serving food manufacturers, foodservice providers, QSR chains and retailers. The acquisition of Comé represents a further step in Scelta Mushrooms’ strategy to build a fully integrated mushroom processing and sales organisation.
Squarefield advised Scelta Mushrooms on the acquisition and on structuring a tailored financing solution to support the Company’s growth objectives and optimise its working capital facilities. ING was selected as the financing partner due to its ability to align with Scelta Mushrooms’ long-term strategic goals.

Comé is a Netherlands-based producer of preserved, shelf-stable mushrooms, specialising in vacuum-hydrated and blanched formats with a shelf life of up to 12 months. From its fully automated facility in Horst, the Netherlands, the company produces whole and sliced mushrooms used in various applications, including pizzas, soups, sauces, pastas and burgers. With a focus on efficiency, scale and product consistency, Comé supplies a broad customer base of food manufacturers and foodservice providers across Europe.
