Squarefield acted as exclusive financial advisor to GoodMills on the intended sale of Müller’s Mühle to Euricom

On 8 October 2026, GoodMills Deutschland, part of GoodMills Group (together “GoodMills”), entered into a binding agreement to sell 100% of the shares in Müller’s Mühle (or the “Company”) to Euricom, an international, family-owned supplier of rice, pulses and other grain-based products. By signing this transaction, GoodMills realigns its strategy with a focus on the flour business. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to complete by the end of 2026.

Founded in 1893 and headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Müller’s Mühle offers a well-known German branded assortment of pulses, rice and other grains. The Müller’s Mühle brand has been available to consumers for generations and pioneered products such as red lentils, beluga lentils and basmati rice in Germany. In addition to its own brand, the Company supplies retail, foodservice and food industry customers throughout Germany under private labels. Since 2021, the Company has also been active in the production of pulse-based protein and starch flours for a range of applications at a dedicated facility in Gelsenkirchen.

Müller’s Mühle provides Euricom with a comprehensive set of capabilities in Germany, including a specialist team covering all key channels (retail, foodservice and the food industry), long-standing relationships with German customers, a large production site in Gelsenkirchen and a leading brand. Euricom intends to develop Müller’s Mühle as its base for Germany and to continue investing in the Gelsenkirchen site, the brand and the team. The acquisition also expands Euricom’s presence in pulses and its B2B ingredients business, complementing its existing offering of rice- and grain-based ingredients for the food industry, and follows Euricom’s recent acquisitions of Ebly in France and Sonko in Poland.

GoodMills Group

In Germany, GoodMills Deutschland focuses on its flour business with its strong brands Diamant, Aurora and Rosenmehl. Through GoodMills Innovation, based in Hamburg, the group also develops speciality ingredients based on wheat, other grains and pulses for the food industry.

“Euricom is the ideal new owner and partner for Müller’s Mühle. Bringing together these well-established German brands, the expertise of our team and Euricom’s strengths creates real added value for both the Müller’s Mühle brands and our customers.”

“We would like to thank Squarefield for their excellent support. Their sector expertise, their access to international strategic buyers and their personal commitment throughout the process were crucial in finding the ideal partner for Müller’s Mühle and in successfully signing this transaction.”

Euricom

Euricom, based in Valle Lomellina (Pavia), Italy, is an international, family-owned food group and a long-term supplier of rice, pulses and other grain-based products to key European customers across the retail private label, foodservice and B2B channels, as well as through well-known local brands such as Curtiriso and Flora in Italy, Sonko in Poland and Ebly in France. Euricom processes c. 1 million tonnes of products per year, with local sourcing and processing capabilities in key rice-growing regions and 15 manufacturing facilities across Europe.

“We are delighted to welcome Müller’s Mühle and its team into the Euricom family. Müller’s Mühle gives us what we did not have in Germany: an established team, a competitive site and a brand that generations of German consumers know well. It broadens our offering in pulses, a category we believe in for the long term, and adds a modern pulse-based ingredients facility that will help our industrial customers move towards more plant-based formulations. We look forward to building on Müller’s Mühle’s heritage together with its team, and we are grateful to GoodMills Group for the trust placed in Euricom as the next steward of Müller’s Mühle.”
