Squarefield acted as exclusive financial advisor to Schouten Europe on the acquisition of Bobeldijk Food Group
On 22 June 2026, Schouten Europe (“Schouten” or the “Company”) closed the acquisition of Bobeldijk Food Group (“Bobeldijk”) from Bracamonte, a Dutch investment firm specialised in the food industry.
The acquisition expands Schouten’s production capacity and strengthens its position as a pioneer in plant-based products, a market in which the Company has been active since 1990. Through this expansion, Schouten will become Europe’s largest family-owned business in the plant-based sector. This acquisition is fully aligned with the direction of the family’s new generation, which is firmly committed to further growth, innovation and international expansion within the plant-based products market.
