Squarefield acted as exclusive financial advisor to Strik on the sale of a majority stake to Barentz
On June 13, 2019, our client Innovative Taste B.V. (“Strik” or the “Company”), a leading Dutch developer, producer and supplier of high-quality flavourings and food ingredients, through founder Robert Strik, announced it has signed an agreement to sell a majority stake to Barentz International B.V. (“Barentz”), a leading global distributor of ingredients for the pharmaceutical, personal care, food & nutrition, and animal nutrition industries.
The announced partnership supports Barentz’ strategy of offering the broadest portfolio of quality food ingredients. Through this transaction, Barentz will add Strik’s expertise in the field of taste, colour and texture to Barentz’ Food & Nutrition Solutions division, where Strik’s will benefit from and accelerate growth through leveraging Barentz’ global network. Robert Strik will continue to lead Strik as its managing director ensuring continuity.
