On June 6, 2023, St. Paul and Royal ERU, two leading Dutch processed cheese companies, announced that they are entering into a strategic partnership to jointly acquire and integrate Kasi Food. The cooperation between St. Paul, Royal ERU and Kasi Food results in a full range of high-quality (processed) cheese preparations for both the consumer market, the out-of-home market (foodservice), and the food industry (B2B).
St. Paul is a family-owned company founded in 1985, based in Lokeren (Belgium) and has strong presence in the Netherlands. St. Paul has established itself as a leading player in the cheese industry by offering customised processed cheese products for the B2B market.
Royal ERU, a (processed) cheese company founded in 1824 and based in Woerden (the Netherlands), has a rich history and is known for its high-quality products for retail and foodservice. With leading brands such as Goudkuipje, Royal ERU is well-known in the Netherlands.
Kasi Food, the processed cheese activities of the Lekkerkerker Food Group, based in Lopik (the Netherlands), specialises in producing high-quality processed cheese for industry, foodservice and retail. The other business activities of Lekkerkerker Food Group were not part of the transaction.
