Squarefield acted as exclusive financial advisor on the sale of Rehm & Co.'s assets to Sucafina Group
On July 2, 2026, Dr. Tobias Brinkmann, acting as insolvency administrator over the assets of Benecke Coffee GmbH & Co. KG, entered into a definitive agreement for the sale and transfer of the Rehm & Co. business, a leading specialty green coffee importer based in Hamburg, Germany, to Sucafina Group (“Sucafina” or the “Group”), a sustainable farm-to-roaster coffee company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Under Sucafina, Rehm & Co. will strengthen the Group’s specialty sourcing capabilities and expand its presence in the German and broader European specialty coffee market.
Rehm & Co. is one of Germany’s longest-established specialty green coffee importers, founded in Hamburg in 1906. The Company sources green coffee from nearly every coffee producing origin and supplies specialty roasters throughout Europe, offering tailored sourcing, blending, contracting and market expertise. It has built its reputation on rigorous quality standards and long-term relationships with both producers and roasters.
Complementing Sucafina Germany, which launched in January 2026 to serve the commercial green coffee market, Rehm & Co. adds established specialty capabilities to the Group. Under its new ownership, the Company will continue to operate from Hamburg under its existing name and with its current team, combining its specialty sourcing expertise, service offering and customer relationships with Sucafina’s global origin network, sustainability programmes and supply chain infrastructure.
