Squarefield acted as exclusive financial advisor to Pandriks on the acquisition of Bio Breadness, as well as the related refinancing of the entire Pandriks group
On November 1, 2016, Pandriks Holding B.V. (“Pandriks”) announced the acquisition of Bio Breadness, the organic bake-off company, and Sauer Mühle GmbH (“Sauer Mühle”) the organic flour mill from W-E-G Stiftung & Co. KG. With this acquisition, Pandriks has expanded its frozen bake-off production to central Germany and is set to become the leading industrial and organic bake-off bakery in Europe. Bio Breadness is focused on organic products and its founding principle is being able to access the full chain from source to mouth. Furthermore, the acquisition offers the ability to supply its increasingly pan-European client base from Bio Breadness’s central location in Fulda.
Bio Breadness and Sauer Mühle
Bio Breadness operates a newly built organic bake-off factory which produces 100% natural bread according to the unique and transformational ‘Pandriks’ bake-off concept. Its organic ingredients are sourced from the water-powered flour mill Sauer Mühle located in Bamberg (in Bavaria, Germany) which is owned and operated by the company. With this control over the entire value chain, Pandriks will be able to enter Germany, the largest organic bread market in Europe.
