On July 28, 2017 management of New Forrest (or the “Company”) backed by a group of investors, agreed to acquire 100% of the shares of the Company, from NPM Capital (“NPM”), a Dutch private equity firm. New Forrest is a Dutch producer of branded frozen fingerfood and snacks.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
New Forrest is a leading producer of branded frozen fingerfood, mini snacks and appetisers, that are sold primarily in the Benelux. The Company has a leading position in the Dutch retail oven snacks segment, which they service through their well-known Kwekkeboom brand. Additionally, the Company has a market-leading position in traditional appetisers in the Benelux foodservice channel, which they service through its renowned Buitenhuis brand.
In 2016, New Forrest was established as an independent company when NPM sold a part of Royaan’s brand portfolio to Van Geloven. The Company is headquartered in Wijk-bij-Duurstede, the Netherlands employing c. 70 FTEs.
