Our client J. & W. Stollenwerk oHG (“Stollenwerk” or the “Company”), a leading German producer of preserved food, successfully refinanced its existing bank facilities whilst also upsizing its working capital facility.
The transaction is in line with adjusting the banking landscape as well as to cater for higher financing needs driven by increased prices for raw-materials and energy.
Stollenwerk is a German, family-run company with headquarters near Cologne founded in 1932 by Hubert and Elisabeth Stollenwerk as an agricultural operation. Since 2012 Stollenwerk is run by Willi and Karl Hubert Stollenwerk being the third generation managing the business.
In 1962 the Company started with the canning of cucumbers. Stollenwerk has substantially broadened the product offering to nearly 100 products through several add-ons. These include varieties of preserved vegetables, fruit and pickled salads.
